Multiple Lipomatosis and Huge Capillary Hemangioma

Abstract

|
A four and-half year old female child who complained, of dyspnea, walking disturbance and various sized palpable masses was admitted to the department of Surgery, Han-Yang University Hospital on May 6, 1974.
Huge capillary hemangioma on the right abdomen was reddish dark in color and 15 cm. in the long axis. Multiple lipomatousmasses on the axilla, anterior chest wall and abdominal wall were excised and largest mass was measured 12 X 16 cm. in size. Pathologic diagnosis was multiple´lipamatosis and capillary hemangioma. The patient was recovered uneventfully and discharged on the 7th post-operative day. Corticosteroids and radiotherapy were continued for capillary hemangioma.
Recently the authors studied, a case of multiple lipomatosis and capillary hemangioma on the chest and abdominal wall. A brief review of the literature was made.
